Chandika Devi Temple (Juchandra) Vasai
The main temple is very old and was probably built during the Pandava period. The natives of Juchandra believe the mother goddess to be there ‘Kuldevta’ one who answers to all their prayers. The temple structure was recently created in progressive phases as donations from devotees started coming. The trustees of this temple make untiring efforts to further develop the temple and make it accessible to all devotees. Navratri is celebrated in the temple premises with great enthusiasm. Wrestling competitions, folk dance, music and garba is the main theme during Navratri when devotees from everywhere throng the temple in thousands. Other than that you can visit this temple any time during the year.
The temple is perched on a small hillock and can be reached by well-built concrete steps. Arial view from the top is breathtaking as one can scan the south Vasai landscape.
Juchandra is a Village in Vasai Taluka, Thane District, and Maharashtra State. Just 1.5 Km. from NH-8, Juchandra is 7.9 km distance from its Taluka Main Town Vasai. Juchandra is 12.2 km distance from its District Main City Thane. And 34 km distance from its State Main City Mumbai. Juchandra is railway Station also on Vasai – Diva route.

How to reach :
on Vasai – Manor Highway (NH-8) after Varai – Safale Phata a Small Road from Left side is going towards this Place. watch for sign board on Highway.There is one Jain temple is also located near this site. you must need your privet vehicle for this destination.
This place is managed by Shri Shankar Mandir Trust, the pool with hot, clean natural water pool for Man and covered pool for woman. nearby there is a small river bank also, but water is in this river is around monsoon season only. Carry your food with you as there is only one small hotel, where u find Vada Pav, Cold drinks, Water and Biscuit only. but very nice place to relax with Nature.
Best time to visit :
July to Dec to enjoy river, other then that you can visit full year.
